Just 300 kilometers away from Florida, Belize is located in Central America with the Caribbean Sea to its east. The beauties of the country as well as its culture and locals have made it one of the most popular tropical destinations in the world. It’s also an English speaking country so no language barrier if you can speak English.

Mayans used to inhabit Belize a long time ago. Evidence of their culture is present at Altun Ha which is where they resided at about 250 BC. In Altun Ha you can see many of the remnants of their culture such as the Temple of the Masonry Altars. The ruins at Altun Ha cover an area of 25 square miles. It’s a difficult area to reach so it’s best to be part of a group and have a tour guide with you. Cahal Pech used to be where the rulers of the Mayans lived between 1,000 and 800 BC. It has multiple structures including altars, temples, residences, and more. There’s also a burial chamber on site. A museum has been constructed nearby giving you all the information you need about the Mayans and their civilization.

Now to the natural beauty of Belize which consists of gardens, beaches, and zoos. First we have the Belize Botanic Gardens. The garden was landscaped in 1993 but today it has over 2,000 different species of plants. The garden has houses which contain plants specific to a certain purpose such as the Mayan House which has plants that were used as medicine. Belize is also a place to have adventures thanks to its diverse landscape. Tourists can see sharks and monkeys, go horseback riding, or even visit the underground cave system. Belize zoo is another spectacle. It started as a small project in 1983 but now contains about 170 animals of 45 different species.

Blue Hole National Park is another fascinating aspect of Belize. The blue hole didn’t always exist, it started when a roof of one of the caves collapsed and in time water slowly accumulated into it. The blue hole is a great place to go for a swim as well as snorkel.

Caye Ambergis is the largest island off the coast of Belize. It has one of the most stunning beaches in the world and there are plenty of activities you can do there as well. It’s a calm and beautiful place to relax and spend time with loved ones. From a rich cultural background to breathtaking natural beauty Belize sure has lots to offer.  air conditioner new port richey
